I like the new reasoning selector option

August 8, 2026

Software and AI

OpenAI seems to me like one of the companies with the best design and UX experts.

I love seeing all the changes they make to improve how smoothly their tools work and let users do exactly what they want without friction.

They add tons of changes that improve my workflows and that I hadn’t even thought of.

A silly example:

Now in the reasoning selector, there’s a new lower range below “light/low” that switches to an even simpler model. Perfect when the task is really simple and you can do it easily without having to change the model.

Such a small thing, but it’s super convenient.

And there are a thousand more like this.

Screenshot of ChatGPT’s reasoning selector, with the control at its lowest setting below “Light” for simple tasks.

🇨🇭 Websites to look for software jobs in Switzerland: - LinkedIn - Indeed - SwissDevJobs - EFinancialCareers (Finance-focused) - Tie Talent - Google Jobs (the one I recommend most) These jobs usually pay between €80,000 and €160,000 a year.

A lot of people ask me which websites I used to find a job in Switzerland, and I always end up recommending the same ones. There are a thousand options, but these are some of the ones I used back then. I’ll probably keep posting them from time to time to clear up any questions.

THIS IS INSANE. I don’t understand how Find My Moat keeps growing so much… Well, I do. But it’s still exceeded all my expectations 🤯 The “trick,” in case it helps anyone:

📊 I’m building a portfolio analysis tool from scratch! I’ve added lots of improvements and features. It’s getting easier to use, and it’s already replacing the other tools I used before.

For the curious: This tool is still in development... BUT if you want to discover other really interesting investing tools, you can check out my other platform: Find My Moat. It’s already live, and tomorrow we’re doing the official launch on Product Hunt!
