With the launch of Kimi K2.5, the pattern is pretty clear: they’re about 3 months behind.

The last time this happened was in August ’24. Yeah, August ’24… time flies. And then OpenAI pulled an ace out of its sleeve and widened the gap again.

Either way, the result is the same.
