Building an investment tool from scratch
Day 6 of developing Tracking Alpha
We’re making progress on the design. Dark mode is winning.
But I don’t just mean the visual look. I mean the content too. Basically, what pages should there be? What information should they include? What should the UX be like? etc....
Again, it’s a bit of a pain, but it’s easier to iterate on the canvas than with the actual app.
Once it’s ready, it’s as simple as handing it to Opus 5.5 and having it implement it down to the last detail.
In the background, I’m working on the backend and improving the pipeline ⚙️
The best system so far is a multi-agent system with issue escalation using @EVE.
Basically, we use a small, cheap model for most cases, which are relatively straightforward. With good tools and instructions, the small agent can handle more than two-thirds of cases without any problem. If something is harder, the issue gets escalated and handed off to a smarter, but more expensive, model.
🎯 Let’s remember the goal: to build the best tool for discovering and tracking special situations
