✅ New feature on Roast My Web! Now you can analyze multiple websites at the same time. My users asked for it, so I built it. This confirms my hypothesis: agencies and freelancers are my target audience. Less manual work, happier clients. 🫡 Try it here → RoastMyWeb(.)com
Quoted post🚀 Novus update The FREE public Alpha is just around the corner! I’ve put a lot of effort into improving the user experience. As I mentioned in a recent post, my goal is to deliver top quality on the fundamentals. 🧵

I used to use SMLs (small LLMs) to unify reports into a universal format and then give them the style I wanted. Although this approach delivers the best results, it has several problems:
- 3
1) Long wait times for users ⏳ This is probably the biggest problem for me. I want a smooth, uninterrupted experience. Having users wait for AI to generate reports has been the main reason to look for a change.
- 4
2) Inconsistencies in AI-generated reports, making year-over-year comparisons difficult Novus lets you compare annual reports and highlight differences, but the old model created inconsistencies and made it hard to make a coherent comparison
- 5
3) Sky-high costs 💸 AI drives costs way up. Even though they’ve come down a lot, generating hundreds of thousands of reports is still a burden I can’t ignore.
- 6
What’s my current solution? 🔍 A new processing method: I “normalize” and integrate the reports into their original style. That way, we reduce formatting issues, save costs and, best of all, it’s MUCH FASTER! 🚀

Abandoning the other approach? Yes and no. The limitations of the other approach will be solved over the coming months, so I’ll probably pick it back up when the technology meets my quality requirements for a better user experience. 😉🔜
There are two ways to ask for more money: 1. Play the victim: Demand more than you actually contribute. 2. Provide value: Contribute more than you’re demanding. It’s that simple.
📈 Google Ads stats: Roast My Web → CTR looks acceptable/good; after optimizing, it seems to be getting closer to ~10% (though the sample is still small). → Cost per conversion should come down more, ideally to €2-3 (campaign already optimized, small sample).

🔎 A few insights: → India: leading in clicks/impressions (I imagine because of the low cost). → Highest CTR: North America, followed by Europe. Surprisingly good performance in Latin America and Africa. → Lowest CPC: Latin America, Africa and China. → Highest number of conversions: Africa.

Apparently my ads are performing pretty well, although I’m not sure if this is normal or if I’m above average 🤔

I have quite a few ad ideas and tweaks to test (as I mentioned in another tweet). For now, I’ll let it run a bit longer to get a bigger sample, while I keep learning what the hell I’m doing.

A common perception mistake is thinking you have to keep posting new stuff all the time. People follow accounts not because they need constant updates, but because they want to hear the message they followed you for repeated.…
OpenAI’s moat (competitive advantage) isn’t the technology, but distribution and product. Google may have technology that’s just as good or even better, but we all know it can’t keep a service running for more than six months.
I don’t want a multinational. Or millions in the bank. Or employees reporting to me. I don’t want company cars, meetings with politicians, or the grind of giving speeches at international conferences.
I've received more than 5 acquisition offers for Roast My Web and, interestingly, no one has asked about the code. Everyone only wants to know two things: traffic and revenue. Moral of the story: what sells isn't the “how,” it's the result. 💡💸
