Have you tried it?

Only answer if you've tried Creatine. What did it do for you?

What is it?

Creatine is made in the body and occurs in foods including meat and fish. Much of it is stored in muscle. Supplements commonly come as creatine monohydrate powder, taken with the intention of supporting strength training or repeated intense effort.

The purchase can become the most visible part of a new training plan. It does not decide what happens in the gym. Someone else's account of a physical change cannot separate the supplement from their exercise and food.

Survey answers are converted to these five answers. Each share above counts only the questionnaires that offered that answer, because not every survey offered all five. In Nootroflix (2022), the SlateStarCodex 2016 nootropics survey, and the SlateStarCodex 2014 nootropics survey, a 10 out of 10 rating counts as “changed my life”.

What does it feel like?

Creatine is not a stimulant with a rush you need to feel. Taking it may have no distinctive immediate sensation.

Water retention can increase body weight, and stomach discomfort can occur. A higher number on the scale does not by itself establish that you have gained muscle.

What are the risks?

Digestive discomfort and water-related weight gain can occur. Kidney disease or medicines affecting the kidneys warrant professional review. Tell the clinician arranging blood tests about use, as creatine can affect creatinine results.

A typical withdrawal syndrome is not recognised. But a single-ingredient product and a blend containing stimulants are different purchases. A prominent creatine label may leave other ingredients easy to overlook.

Self-reported experiences, not medical advice. High scores mean people reported strong positive effects. They do not mean something is safe, effective long-term, or appropriate for you. Self-reports can miss delayed harms, dependence, withdrawal, side effects, and selection bias. Don't start or stop a medication because of a chart.
