Launching new products is scary. A ton of hours spent on something that might end up being worth nothing. And the closer you get to the finish line, the more you want to say fuck it all.
I think people aren't adapting quickly enough to improvements in AI. Agents' capabilities increase considerably every month, and layers of abstraction should increase too.
