Only answer if you've tried Microdosing psilocybin. What did it do for you?

What is it?

Psilocybin microdosing means consuming mushrooms or preparations containing psilocybin while aiming for subtle effects rather than a psychedelic trip. People seek creativity, better mood or less anxiety. Capsules can make the practice resemble a supplement routine, but psilocybin remains a psychedelic substance.

Potency varies across mushrooms and preparations. A capsule does not guarantee consistent contents or an imperceptible experience. A good day also cannot establish that microdosing caused it. Placebo-controlled research does not justify treating social-media promises of creativity and wellbeing as established benefits.

Survey answers are converted to these five answers. Each share above counts only the questionnaires that offered that answer, because not every survey offered all five. In Nootroflix (2022), a 10 out of 10 rating counts as “changed my life”.

What does it feel like?

You may notice nothing distinct. Some people describe feeling more receptive or upbeat; others experience stomach discomfort, headache or restlessness. Concentration can suffer, even if improving work was the reason for starting.

Poor sleep, increasing anxiety or difficulty following a conversation are not proof of a productive inner process. They can interfere with everyday life. Concerning or persistent changes deserve help. The microdosing label does not establish that you can drive without impairment.

What are the risks?

The safety of prolonged, repeated use remains uncertain, with particular concern around a history of psychosis or bipolar disorder. Medication interactions are insufficiently studied. Reports of seizures with lithium and classic psychedelics are a warning, though they cannot quantify microdosing risk. Do not stop prescribed medication to try it.

Physical dependence and a typical withdrawal syndrome are not usual, but that does not make use harmless. Waiting for capsules to solve a problem can also delay seeking care. In Spain, illicit possession or use in public places can lead to fines, and trafficking is a criminal offence. Marketing something as wellness does not change those rules.

Self-reported experiences, not medical advice. High scores mean people reported strong positive effects. They do not mean something is safe, effective long-term, or appropriate for you. Self-reports can miss delayed harms, dependence, withdrawal, side effects, and selection bias. Don't start or stop a medication because of a chart.
