Human beings need to create to be happy. I think the creation-to-consumption ratio should be close to 70-30. Right now, I’m at 90-10. How are you guys doing?

🚀 I built my own tool to manage my portfolio… in just one day. ⏱️ Not bad for the little time I put into it. Reusing assets from an earlier project made everything much easier. And even so, as it is, it’s already more useful than the tool I used before.
I find multidisciplinary people much more interesting than people who are ultra-specialized in one thing. Intellectually, it’s great to see someone take a principle from biology and apply it to investing, computer science, or any other field.
It pisses me off having too much money right now and so few interesting ideas to invest in (recommendations welcome).
How do you hire the right people? Talking it through with my former CTO, we boiled it down to: - Proven experience with real projects. - Absolute clarity when explaining what they do and why (0 bullshit). - Ability to work independently.
Serious question: How do psychopaths who don’t keep a spreadsheet of their expenses survive? Do they live in financial chaos, or have they reached a higher level of peace of mind?

I've been struggling with this for a long time. On one side, a wolf whispers to me to work more, earn more, and accumulate more things. On the other, another force invites me to let go, live with less, and find peace in simplicity. Maybe it's a reflection of the eternal dichotomy between East and West. Does anyone else feel this way?
