We’re reaching a curious point. It’s not that I don’t code anymore. I don’t even write. I just tell the computer what I want it to do… and the damn thing figures it out. Builds it. Works.
I think I’ve picked the perfect time to quit my job. Right now, the possibilities are endless, companies still haven’t adapted, the models have just taken a huge leap in quality, and we’re still getting subsidized tokens. The chaos I’m going to cause in a couple of months 👀
After leaving my job, I was burnt out. I had no ideas, I didn’t feel creative, and nothing particularly excited me. I guess it was exhaustion, mental noise, and stress. I thought relaxing would bring all that back.
I'm really happy with how well things are going with my company. The transition is feeling very natural, with a lot of good faith on both sides. In fact, they've made it pretty clear that if I ever need a job again, I shouldn't hesitate to reach out to them. So yeah… I guess if my projects fail, I'll always have a Swiss salary waiting for me somewhere 📈
If I get laid off, I know I can find another job. I have the safety net, the skills, and the confidence. That thought saves me so many headaches... When I arrived in Switzerland with almost no experience and no money, every day at work was a fight for survival.
